             abstract = "The land cover changes have been intensified since 1950 in the 
                         tropical region, especially for the in Brazilian Cerrado, 
                         especially agropastoral activities. The understanding of the land 
                         cover dynamics has been boosted by the advances in orbital time 
                         series that allowed the identification of subtle changes, 
                         highlighting the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer 
                         (MODIS). In this context, this work aimed to characterize the 
                         temporal patterns of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) 
                         and structure a temporal library of the Almas river basin. The 
                         natural coverings showed sinusoidal temporal patterns while the 
                         anthropic coverings showed low vegetation index and low seasonal 
                         values, with the exception of the agricultural areas due to the 
                         type of use, also presented lower maximum values in the rainy 
                         season inferior to the natural coverages. The structuring of the 
                         library of temporal patterns of land cover allows us to identify 
                         important patterns for future consideration of anthropogenic and 
                         natural coverages.",
